EMAIL HELP:

Outlook 2003: How to Setup Your Email Account

  • With MS Outlook already open, click the Tools option on the top menu.
  • In the drop-down menu, select E-mail Accounts
  • Select Add a New E-mail Account.
  • The Server Type menu appears. Select POP3 and click next
  • Under User Information, type in your name as you want it to be displayed in the address book and your full email address.
  • Under Server Information, type in mail.exceedtech.net for the incoming and outgoing mail servers.
  • Under Login Information , type in your user name and password as follows:

Example:       Your email address is example@exceedtech.net

Your password is abc   

                       

User Name:    example

Password:      abc

 

  • Click Test Account Settings. If all steps pass, click Next to complete the setup.   If a test fails, you may have to redo the previous steps.

Outlook Express: How to Setup Your Email Account

  • After opening Outlook Express, select Tools in the top menu.
  • In the drop down menu that appears, select Accounts
  • The Internet Accounts menu appears. At the top of the menu are four tabs.   Select the Mail tab.
  • Click the Add button on the right hand side of the Internet Accounts menu and select Mail from the menu that appears.
  • The Internet Connection Wizard will appear.   Follow the prompts on screen to type in your name and click Next.
  • Type in your Exceed e-mail address (myname@exceedtech.net), and click Next
  • When you get to EMail Server Namesin the connection wizard, the incoming mail server should be set to POP3.  

Incoming Mail Server:      mail.exceedtech.net

Outgoing Mail Server:      mail.exceedtech.net

  • Click Next
  • In the Internet Mail Logon screen that appears next, enter your information following the format presented in the following example:  

    Example:   The email address is example@exceedtech.net

    • Account name will be example
    • The password will be the same as the one used for the Exceed dialer software.
  • Click Next. Tthis completes the E-mail account setup in Outlook Express.   While online, you may click the Send/Receive button in the top menu of the program to check email.
